City Vice-Mayor, Nuevas "Jas" T. Montes places premium
on effective leadership, teamwork and research based
legislation. She strengthened partnership with civil
societies, forged productive working relationship with
the executive and reinforced links with various
leagues of local government officials.

She initiated the participatory development of an
Executive-Legislative Agenda and the formulation of
Barangay Development Plans and insured their
implementation thru legislations.
She is a 2006 PAG-ASA Award finalist of the Civil
Service Commission for outstanding work performance.
She is the President of the Vice-Mayor's League of the
Philippines, Region VII and sits in the National Board
of the VMLP and the Regional Development Council of
Region VII.
