Population Density

In 2000, the city’s average density is 23.8 persons per hectare. The rural barangays has an average of 22.2 persons to a hectare while the urban barangays indicatea much higher density of 93.5 persons per hectare.

The most densely populated barangay is Poblacion I with 123.7 persons to a hectare while Barangay Cabawan is expectedly the sparsely populated barangay with only 3 persons per hectare.

By the year 2005 Tagbilaran City’s gross population density is expected to rise to 29.28 persons per hectare. The urban district will indicate a population density of 119.92 persons per hectare while in the rural barangay will have 17.67 persons to a hectare.
