Functions:
| 1. |
To enact ordinances, approve and appropriate
funds for the general welfare of the city and its inhabitants and in the proper
exercise of the corporate powers of the city pursuant to provisions of law; |
| 2. |
Approved ordinance and pass resolutions necessary
for an efficient and effective government; |
| 3. |
Generate and maximize the use of resources and
revenues for the development plans, programs, objectives and priorities of
the city with particular attention to agro-industrial development and citywide
progress; |
| 4. |
Enact ordinance granting franchise and authorizing
the issuance of permits of licenses to promote the general welfare; |
| 5. |
Regulate activities for the use of land, buildings
and structures with the city in order to promote the general welfare; |
| 6. |
Approve ordinance which shall ensure efficient
delivery of the basic services and facilities; |
| 7. |
Exercise such other powers and perform such
other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law ordinance. |
