Formulate measures for consideration of the Sanggunian
and provided technical assistance and support to the mayor in carrying out measures
to ensure the delivery of basic services and provision of adequate facilities; |

Develop plans and strategies on veterinary related
activities and implement them upon the approval thereof by the mayor; |
| 3. |
Advise the mayor on all matters pertaining to the
slaughter of animals for human consumption and the regulation of the Slaughterhouse; |
| 4. |
Regulating the keeping of domestic animals; |
| 5. |
Regulate and inspect poultry, milk and dairy products
for public consumption; |
| 6. |
Enforce all laws and regulations for the prevention
of cruelty of animals; |
| 7. |
Take necessary measure to eradicate, prevent, or
cure all forms of animal diseases; |
| 8. |
Be in the front-line of veterinary related activities,
such as in the outbreak of highly contagious and deadly diseases and in the situation
resulting in the depletion of animals for work and human consumption, particularly
those arising from the aftermath of man-made and natural disaster and calamities; |
| 9. |
Recommend to the Sanggunian and advice the mayor
on all other matters relative to veterinary and other domestic animals used for
work and human consumption; and |
| 10. |
Exercise such other powers and performs such other
duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinances. |
