Saulog Tagbilaran 2017 includes Color Run

A press conference was held last week to drumbeat the Saulog Color Run, in partnership with Galleria Luisa, A-Plus and Builderware, the City Government of Tagbilaran has infused a youthful appeal to the fiesta activity. Aside from drumbeating faith, culture and heritage, Saulog Tagbilaran is encouraging the millennials to take part and celebrate. City Mayor John Geesnell “BABA” Yap hopes to make it relevant and meaningful to everybody. “Saulog 2017 will not just be a celebration of our faith and culture, but it will be a manifestation of our joyful spirit, of our love for fellowship and friendship.” Deviating from the usual “fun run” concept, the color run will start at 5:00 in the afternoon, different colors will be sprayed to the runners for every distance covered. The colors are non-toxic, non-allergenic and washable. Start and finish line will be at Galleria Luisa. The goal is to have a colored runner at the end of the race to join in the party afterwards. “It’s not a competitive run, it’s a celebration, of having fun.” Pepito Lim said. Registration forms are available in Builderware, BQ Mall Management Office, BQ Customer Service, City General Services Office and CPG Sports Complex. The 6K run is pegged at Php350.00 and Php300.00 for the 3K.
