Team Dan Lim won most seats in the City! Leading the pack, for Mayor, is Atty. Dan Neri Lim who got 24,061 votes against rival Jose Antonio Veloso who got 15,726 votes. Vice-mayoralty candidate Nuevas Montes left her opponent behind with 23,184 votes, Glorivic Dela Serna only got 12,801 votes. At the Sangguniang Panglungsod, seven candidates from Team Dan Lim made a major sweep, with John Geesnell Yap II leading, followed by Edgar Bompat, Leonides Borja, Atty. Nerio Zamora II, Genesyl Balbin, Lucille Lagunay and Atty. Doni Piquero.

“Contrary to what many people think, this is not an election between Team Dan Lim and Lakas-Kampi, not even between two platforms because our opponents do not have a platform,” the mayor said.

Congressional bet Oscar Glovasa warned voters particularly those in Tagbilaran City of an impending increase in water and power rates after the May 10 elections.
“There is already a decision granting the petition for an increase in water billings but they are putting it on hold until after the May 10 elections,” Glovasa said.

Tagbilaran Mayor Dan Lim yesterday said he is offering a cash reward of P1 million for information that would be sufficient for the filing of murder charges in connection with the killing of Mark Kane Hermosisima nearly five years ago.
“I am also offering another P1-M if the information will lead to the conviction of the accused,” the mayor announced over his radio program yesterday.

Vice Gov. Julius Caesar Herrera gave hints of what it will be under his administration when he started giving out Philhealth cards to beneficiaries in the different municipalities.
